Sri Vidya Mandir Senior Secondary School was started on 07.06.1978. It is affiliated to the central board of secondary education, New Delhi. We prepare students for the All India Senior Secondary Certificate Examination (AISSCE) conducted by the Central board of secondary education.

The school is managed by the educational trust by name Tirukoilur Sri Vidya Mandir Educational trust (Registered), with Sri .G. Mohanlal sowcar as its Founder chairman. The school offers sound education with emphasis on discipline, character building and leadership qualities. The school offers education through English medium. Hindi and Tamil are the languages taught in the school.

Student strength of the school at the time of starting was four hundred students. Now Student strength of the school is Two Thousand. We have all infrastructural facilities for a thriving school
